Navigating Your Documents Just Got Easier with Bento's New Table of Contents Feature

We're excited to announce a new feature in Bento that's set to enhance how you interact with your product requirement documents (PRDs): the Table of Contents (ToC). This latest update is all about making your navigation through documents not just easier, but more intuitive.

Understanding the Table of Contents

The ToC feature in Bento is designed to help users immediately grasp the structure of their documents and swiftly move between sections. This is particularly useful for teams dealing with extensive PRDs where quick access to specific information is crucial.

How It Works

When you open a PRD in Bento, the ToC is prominently displayed, giving you a comprehensive overview of the document's layout at a glance. This allows team members, especially new ones, to quickly understand what's included in the PRD and find the information they need without scrolling through the entire document.

As you scroll down, the ToC smartly transitions into a more discreet mode, becoming a small button that 'shies away' to the side of your screen. This design ensures that while the ToC is accessible at any point, it does not intrude on your workspace or distract from the content itself.

Flexibility at Your Fingertips

For those who prefer having constant access to the ToC, there’s an option to pin it. This keeps the ToC persistent on the left side of your screen, providing uninterrupted access while you work through the document. Whether it’s pinned or minimized, the ToC adapts to your workflow, ensuring efficiency without sacrificing functionality.

Why This Matters

The Table of Contents isn't just a tool; it's a reflection of our commitment at Bento to make document handling as seamless as possible. For product teams, time is often of the essence, and being able to quickly pinpoint specific sections in a PRD can significantly speed up the development process.

Your Feedback is Valuable

As with every new feature, your insights and feedback are invaluable to us. We’ve designed the ToC with your needs in mind, but we want to hear from you. How is the new Table of Contents feature enhancing your experience with Bento? Are there other functionalities you’d like to see integrated into this feature?

Looking Ahead

The introduction of the Table of Contents is just one of the many ways we are improving Bento to make it the best AI-powered editor for product requirement documents. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to refine Bento to suit your needs and feedback.
